  • Jessie and Bill were our neighbors when we lived at Speigelman farm at the end of the line near Erinview church. I was a city girl turned country and Bill and Jessie helped me adapt to the country life, baking, helping when my husband, Ned, was in the hospital very ill and I was 8 months pregnant trying to watch hogs that were farrowing. Bill came and helped me get it all sorted out and Jessie was always there by phone. Bill's mother babysat my kids when we all went out together somewhere or to a dance or to a fowl supper. Wonderful neighbors. Jessie helped me figure out what I had done wrong in a recipe when I killed the yeast making 20 loaves of bread. Everytime I make bread I remember that day and how we laughed. Dance with angels in heaven Jessie. You were one on earth that I will never forget. It has been many years but I never forgot and thought of you and Bill and Mabel many times over the years. My deep condolenses to the family. When you were young you were always fun to be around. Bless you and will keep you in prayer during this sad time. - Posted by: Diane Wilson (Former neighbor and friend from Erinview) on: Feb 28, 2026
